No matter what, this will be a big investment, and you deserve to have an expert on your side to guide you on this journey, and help you find the dream property for your unique requirements.

I know and understand the Portland Metro and SW Washington areas, having lived in their various neighborhoods for 15 years. That’s why I am licensed in both OR and WA, and can help find what you are looking for, regardless of which side of the river we are on.

Buying a home usually falls into 4 basic steps:

1

Get pre-approved and understand what you are looking for

  1. Let’s sit down and discuss the type of home you are looking for, including style, price, location, school districts, etc

  2. Meet with a lender and get pre-approved. Knowing what you can afford is critical to a successful home shopping experience

2

Searching & deciding on your property

  1. Search for homes: This is the fun part! We can schedule showings and explore a variety of options. Through the process, we will iterate and zero in on what is most important to you.

  2. Make an offer: Based on the price and terms we chose, I will prepare and submit an offer

3

Negotiation, contract & escrow

  1. Things may go back and forth, but this is where having the right agent on your side pays dividends. Hang in there, we’re on our way!

  2. The contract will provide timelines for financing and inspections. This is a critical point for understanding the condition of the property with support from my network of trusted professionals.

  3. Once price, terms and potential repairs are agreed upon, the home is held in escrow for closing.

4

Final details & closing

  1. You will be finalizing your loan, reviewing documents and repairs will be completed at this stage. I will be helping manage the entire process for you.

  2. Transfer of funds and ownership. A title company typically acts as an independent third party to facilitate the closing

  3. CONGRATULATIONS! You are new home owner!
